I do: Do you?

I do: Do you?

do-you

You may have noticed on my website that in one of the pictures of me, I’m wearing a t-shirt that says “DO YOU.” Someone even asked me about this on my Facebook fan page. We all use the transitive verb “do,” which Merriam Webster’s dictionary defines as “bring to pass; to carry out.” We do our work. We do what’s best for our families. We do what we need to do.

For me, “DO YOU” is really about truly being who you are. It’s about celebrating your individuality. Don’t mold yourself to fit into any of the pressures that society puts on you for your life. Part of what makes your life special and wonderful is following your own design. You don’t have to do what everyone else thinks is best. Just be you.

I agree, never been much of a followerer of the crowd. In my 51 years of living I’ve made some good choices and some not so good, but they were my choices. I would feel like I was missing out if I didn’t “DO ME”, so no regrets! Something about being honest with ourselves that allows us to be freely honest with each other with no regrets. Somewhere in that freedom there is an innocence that allows us to love one another the way God loves us, or at least grow in that kind of love!

Speaking of which, I was reading earlier on your photo of your look at the Expendables 3 premeire. It must be something to deal with some of the negative comments! As I’ve said before, you are and always have been a class act, love that about you! You make it all look good to me!! With the love of God, take care!
